AUTHENTICITY PROMISE

The Monarj Standard

Authenticity should never be a guessing game.

We know that buying imported skincare online requires trust. That is why Monarj reviews sourcing information, product details and physical condition before an item is intentionally dispatched to you.

01 Considered sourcing

We review who we source from before products enter our inventory.

02 Physical checks

Packaging, batch information, seals and condition are reviewed.

03 Clear support

If something concerns you, our team is available to review it with you.

What authenticity means

Original product. Traceable details. Honest presentation.

An authentic product is made by the brand shown on its packaging and has not been intentionally altered, refilled or misrepresented. It should arrive with product information and packaging details that are consistent with the version released for its market.

Korean skincare packaging can vary between production batches, markets and brand redesigns. A small design difference does not automatically mean a product is counterfeit. We consider the full picture rather than relying on one visual detail alone.

Our standard is simple.

We do not intentionally list or dispatch a product we believe to be opened, tampered with, misrepresented or of questionable origin.

Our verification process

Four checks before a product reaches your routine.

Authenticity is not judged from one sticker or barcode. We use a layered review covering the supplier, available records, the physical product and its condition before dispatch.

Supplier review

We review supplier identity, product source information and previous supply consistency before adding products to our inventory. A low price alone is never enough reason to trust a source.

Purchase-record review

Available invoices, purchase records and shipment information are kept or reviewed where applicable, helping us connect received inventory to its source.

Product and packaging check

We review visible packaging quality, printing, seals, batch or date information, product labelling and overall consistency. Checks are adapted because packaging formats differ by brand and product.

Pre-dispatch inspection

Before packing, the item is checked again for visible leakage, damage, opened packaging or other concerns so questionable units are not intentionally sent to customers.

What we physically review

The details that help us make a considered decision.

No single feature proves authenticity on its own. Together, these details help us identify obvious inconsistencies or product-condition concerns.

Batch and date details

We look for available batch, manufacturing or expiry information and check that it is legible and reasonably consistent with the product.

Printing and labelling

Brand name, ingredient or usage labels, alignment, print quality and spelling are reviewed for visible irregularities.

Seal and closure condition

Where a brand uses seals or protective closures, we check for visible signs of opening, damage or tampering.

Overall physical condition

We inspect the unit for visible leakage, unusual damage, compromised packaging or other concerns before it is packed.

What our checks can do

Build stronger confidence.

Our process is designed to reduce avoidable sourcing and condition risks before dispatch.

  • Review the product source and available purchase trail.
  • Identify visible packaging or condition concerns.
  • Hold questionable items for further review.
  • Give customers a clear route to ask questions.
What we will not claim

Trust needs honesty, too.

We do not present a visual inspection as something it is not.

  • We do not claim every unit is laboratory-tested.
  • We do not call ourselves an authorised retailer unless confirmed by the brand.
  • We do not treat one packaging difference as automatic proof of a fake.
  • We do not guarantee that a product will suit every skin type.
When your order arrives

Three simple checks you can make at home.

If you want to inspect your product, do it before opening or using it. Keep the delivery packaging until you are satisfied with the order.

Review the condition

Check the outer box, cap, pump, seal and container for leakage, breakage or visible signs of opening.

Read the details

Look for the product name, size, directions, batch or date information and importer labels where applicable.

Ask before using

If anything feels inconsistent, take clear photos and contact us before opening or applying the product.

Please note: Barcodes and QR codes can be useful product identifiers, but a successful scan alone does not prove authenticity. Some genuine imported products may also carry market-specific stickers or packaging.

Something does not look right?

Pause before opening it.

Send us your order number and clear photos of the outer packaging, batch or date details, seal and the area causing concern. Our team will review the information and guide you according to the condition of the item and our store policies.

Authenticity questions

Answers before you order.

Are all products sold by Monarj original?

Monarj’s standard is to source and sell original products. We review suppliers, available purchase information, packaging details and physical condition, and we do not intentionally dispatch an item we believe to be counterfeit, tampered with or misrepresented.

Why can my packaging look different from photos online?

Brands update packaging, formulas and labels over time. Packaging may also vary by production batch or intended market. A design variation alone does not prove that a product is fake; the product should be assessed using several details together.

Does scanning a barcode prove authenticity?

No. A barcode can help identify a product, but barcode data can be copied and some genuine products may not return useful public results. It should be treated as one detail, not final proof.

Can you confirm a product before I place my order?

You can contact us with the product link and your question. Where practical, our team can share available product or packaging information before you order, although exact batch details may differ between units.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged or looks unusual?

Do not open or use the product. Photograph the shipping package, product box, seals, batch or date information and the issue, then contact us with your order number. Resolution is handled according to the item’s condition and Monarj’s published return and exchange policies.

Does an authentic product guarantee that it will suit my skin?

No. Authenticity and skin compatibility are different. Even an original product can cause irritation or may not suit a particular skin type. Review the ingredients, patch-test according to the product directions and consult a dermatologist if you have a skin condition or concern.
